Marylhurst University is hosting a month long event entitled  Spring into Service. The event aims to bring awareness to the work of agencies that serve those facing food insecurity in Oregon.

As part of the event, Marylhurst University will be displaying all 25 large format prints from of our January Exhibition, “Setting the Table”.

The event kicks off with an opening reception on Tuesday April, 6th from 5:00PM to  8:00PM at Clark Commons. If you missed our January exhibition and want to see the prints or just want to support the hunger organizations like the Oregon Food Bank, please join us. In addition, there will also be a silent auction and a discussion by Patti Whitney-Wise, a leader of the Oregon Hunger Relief Task Force and Annie Herbert (Director of Communications at the Oregon Food Bank) surrounding root causes of hunger in Oregon and agencies providing relief.

We would like to invite you and a guest to view an exhibition of five unique visions in large format prints. This pro bono photography project was a group effort by PhotoForce to show the cycle of food in Oregon and the impact that the Oregon Food Bank has across the state.

The exhibition will be held at Venue Pearl on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 5:00pm-10:00pm. The event is free and open to the public. Music and refreshments will be provided. We encourage you to bring a canned good donation for the Oregon Food Bank.
